How does the equipment work with our system?
Most business phone systems support the music on-hold feature.
Just simply plug in the digital unit into the music on-hold port back at the main brain of your phone system marked MOH or MUSIC.
There are already many businesses illegally plugging the radio into this connection.
Is the equipment digital or tape based?
Melodyline offers both options.
There is a digital computer chip within the equipment that stores information downloaded from a cassette.
There is also equipment that accepts the production over telephone lines via a modem like device; these are used most effectively when dealing with multi location companies.
Both units mentioned use the same digital chip technology to play the music: Far superior to an endless loop tape or CD player, which becomes an endless "money-pit"!
Why not use equipment based upon CD technology?
Quite simply our equipment is more reliable, you never experience scratches, or broken equipment.
Equipment with moveable parts is continuously prone to failure. Our digital unit is a commercial grade unit that becomes part of your phone system.
